Tipton Engineering is a mechanical and electrical engineering consulting firm that specializes in sustainable and energy efficient building design in conjunction with the project needs and budget.

OUR HISTORY

The company was founded in 2018 by Karl Tipton who is the principal Engineer and managing partner of the company. Since the company’s establishment, the firm has expanded by bringing on Dillon Williams, AIA, a licensed Architect and managing partner, to coordinate and manage all projects in order to increase the effectiveness of the design coordination process between client and the engineering team.

OUR PROCESS

Tipton Engineering integrates energy engineering into all aspects of design and construction management. This combined with the latest in engineering software technologies as well as the industry’s latest equipment technologies help us to provide cutting edge,energy efficient, cost effective, systems design and integration. The majority of our projects are modeled in Autodesk Revit, a 3D - Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, providing unparalleled project coordination.

Karl Tipton, P. E. CEM
Partner / EngineerMr. Tipton founded Tipton Engineering in 2018. He functions as Principal Engineer for all mechanical and electrical engineering projects. He manages design projects, providing expertise in system evaluation, selection and specification and provides construction management through project completion. He functions as lead engineer on all investment grade audit projects providing guidance and oversight as a Certified Energy Manager. He has extensive experience in load/energy modeling and life cycle analysis.

Partner / Architect / Project DirectorDillon joined Tipton Engineering at the beginning of 2019. He functions as Project Director and Director of Architectural Services. He manages design projects, providing expertise in architectural design, systems coordination, code and egress evaluations, and provides construction management through project completion. He functions as lead Architect on all projects providing guidance and oversight as well as managing many engineering projects. He has extensive experience in architectural detailing, planning and coordination.
