PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The NHCC is a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs with the State of New Mexico. The Welcome Center was envisioned 20 years ago when the NHCC first opened and had not been built until now. Working with LDG Architects in Taos, NM we designed efficient and cost-effective MEP systems to fit the aesthetics and budget of this important project. Although the new building is attached to an existing structure TE designed stand alone HVAC systems to better serve the new structure. The site utilities are also separate from the existing structure outside of the electrical service which is served from a step down transformer fed from the existing electrical service.
